The Drug Policy Project of Utah is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, governed by a Board of Trustees and Standard Operating Procedures. We publish our IRS Form 990 annually for public review, and make available the following documents to demonstrate our organization's commitment to public accountability.
Standard Operating Procedures
Our Board of Trustees has adopted the following procedures as the governing documents and policies of our organization. This document establishes the governing policies of our organization is a living document that is constantly being improved and updated.
Charitable Solicitations Permit
Nonprofits that solicit, request, promote, advertise, or sponsor a charitable solicitation that originates in Utah are required obtain and provide a copy of their Charitable Solicitations Permit upon request. A charitable solicitations permit certifies that a nonprofit is registered with the State of Utah to conduct fundraising activities.
Utah Nonprofits Association Standards of Ethics
Published in its revised form in late 2012, the Standards will help elevate those Utah nonprofits that demonstrate genuine integrity. Further, they will mitigate the need for outside watchdogs as we pay close attention to self-imposed standards and reveal to constituents, including donors, those organizations that most merit their trust and confidence because of their focus on ethical governance and management. The Drug Policy Project of Utah is a proud member of the Utah Nonprofits Association and subscribes to these Standards of Ethics.
Articles of Incorporation
The "Articles of Incorporation" sometimes also referred to as the Certificate of Incorporation or the Corporate Charter are the primary rules governing the management of a corporation in the United States and Canada, and are filed with a state or other regulatory agency. The Articles, filed October 26, 2015 are the most recent filed by DPPU.

DPPU is a proud affiliate of Americans for Safe Access and is proud to work with them in achieving our goal of creating a medical cannabis program in Utah. This document is a copy of our affiliation agreement with ASA.
