Utahns from all walks of life and from every city across our great state are affected by drug-related public policies. The so-called "War on Drugs" has escalated these impacts and has led to unrest, discontent, and unfortunate events. The effect of drug policies are evident in the communities that we all call home. The Drug Policy Project of Utah works to change these impacts and improve public policies to reflect the values of Utahns and best-practices developed through research and data collection.
These documents summarize the research, data, and information that should be the basis of public policy design and implementation. These documents are meant to be used as an educational tool to further fact-based discussions of the health and societal benefits of reforming drug policy.
Please feel free to use these documents for that purpose with attribution to the Drug Policy Project of Utah.
